A Virtual Birthday Party

We were invited to a birthday party for a little doll named Peggy Sue. She is a Schoenhut doll about the same size as our AG girls. The only problem is she lives clear across the pond in the UK, so we had a virtual birthday party and exchanged photos.


Grace was called upon to bake a cake, but she made two of them!


Gabi brought a piñata.


Before cutting the cake we stood around the piano and sang Happy Birthday.


At the end of the party we stood together for a group photo and gave our final birthday wishes to Peggy Sue. (Left to right we have Ciara, Gracie, Claire, Rosa, Gabi and Kiki)

Autumn Days With Hazel

Tah Dah! Here she is, my very outdoorsy girl, Hazel. She's only been here for a few days and kept begging to go into the mountains to hike and climb. She had a great time on this gorgeous fall day and I didn't think I would be able to drag her home. I insisted she wear a helmet when climbing.


This was the perfect day for a hike so we went up to Brainard Lake, which is a crystal clear lake at about 10,500 feet in elevation in the Roosevelt National Forest.


We hiked up a trail from the lake and had a picnic. Even at this altitude is was nice and warm in the sun. The ground cover has started to change color because the nights are very cool.


This is the time of year to go see the aspen trees and they were truly spectacular. Every fall is different in terms of coloring and this year there was a nice variety of golds, oranges and reds. I'll include a few more photos from our day.

WellieWishers Store Preview

Gabi went to see the new Wellie Wishers and her person was lazy and only took photos with her phone. We still thought it would be nice to share the visit.


When we walked into the store there were footprints for us to follow to find the WellieWishers.


A shot of the crew. They are really adorable and the outfits and boots are super sweet.


Packs of socks and clear wellies for girls is a brilliant idea!


The pajamas look nice and soft and cuter than in this photo.


You can play tic-tac-toe on the garden table with little bugs. So cute!


And later have a party. There are lots of accessories in every set.


I love the bunny and the hutch is really cute.


I think the girls work as little sisters. Gabi thought we should bring this one home!


Or maybe bring home two!

With a sleeping loft.

And there is much, much more. None of the WellieWishers actually came home with us, but we did get a few pieces of the new mix and match outfits and Gabi got her ears pierced. We will have a fashion show later!

Gabriela's First Night

Anna and Gabriela put on their pajamas, but they were still too excited to go to sleep.


"If you like doing crafty things I have a great idea. We could decorate t-shirts!" exclaimed Anna.


"Look! There's a pink shirt for me and a purple one for you! Plus our person has a whole big pile of felt in her sewing room that we can use." added Anna. "That's perfect!" said Gabriela.


The girls worked on their t-shirts and put them aside to dry, so we will see those later. They were finally tired enough to fall asleep.


The next morning Anna gently woke up Gabriela. "Buenos días." she whispered. "We have a little surprise for you."


Gabriela sat up a bit confused as Anna announced, "Breakfast in bed!" just as Edie walked in carrying a tray with pancakes, hot chocolate and a muffin.


"Wow! I've never had breakfast in bed!" exclaimed Gabriela.
"Rosa gets all the credit for making it," explained Edie.
"Well, I do love to cook!" said Rosa.



After Gabriela finished eating the girls played some card games.


Finally Edie said she'd better go get dressed and the girls agreed it was time.


"Thanks so much for the breakfast and playing games." called Gabriela.


The girls started to make their beds.


"Hey, Gabi! We need to go see if our t-shirts are dry!" remembered Anna. "If they are, we can wear them today!"

Introducing Gabriela

"Rosa, Grace, are you ready to go to the diner?" called Ella.


"Coming!" said Rosa.


"Me, too!" said Grace as she joined the other two girls. Today they were going to have lunch at the diner and then go shopping to celebrate the start of summer.


"I'm starving!" said Rosa. "I'm dreaming of a chocolate milk shake," replied Ella. "I'm looking forward to buying some new shoes," said Grace. The girls headed for the back door, but just then the doorbell rang.


"I'll get it!" said Edie. "You guys go ahead and don't forget to bring me a present - haha!"


A new girl walked in. "Hi. I'm Gabriela. Is Anna here?"


"Hi Gabriela. I'm Edie. We've been expecting you. Let me take your suitcase."


"Have a seat and I'll go get Anna and take your suitcase to your new room," she continued.


Just then Anna came running into the room. "¡Gabi, Bienvenido! Welcome!" she called.


The two girls hugged. Anna had met Gabriela in South Padre Island, and invited her to Pleasantview. "I'm so glad you're here at last," said Anna. "Me, too!" replied Gabriela.


Anna was so excited she hardly knew what to say. "Well, come on and see our room and tell me everything that has happened since I left South Padre." "Ok!" answered Gabriela. "And you have to tell me all about Pleasantview." And off they went, laughing and chatting.

Springtime at the Treehouse

Kit has invited a whole bunch of her friends over to the treehouse. The trees are in bloom and the weather is sunny and warm. Amanda (Samantha's twin sister) decides to climb the tree instead of going in the proper way. That worries Nellie who says she might fall and hurt herself. Samantha stops gathering flowers to let Nellie know that her twin is very experienced at tree climbing and not to worry. Caroline, Kit and Addy are having a nice chat while admiring the view. The pups want in on the action, too!

Evening Walk on the Beach

Anna went on a beach walk with us a few nights ago and writes:


Every evening we take the puppy on a long walk on the beach.


Look! It goes on for miles and miles.


Sometimes I stop to pick up shells.


I like to walk in the surf.


I also enjoy seeing the birds. This is a black bellied plover


I never get tired of the beach and hope you get to visit one soon!
